Karuna Trust in collaboration with Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute (RKMVERI), Belur Math, Dt. Howrah 711202, West Bengal has implemented the following programs:
COVID-Vaccination (Mobile Unit):
Karuna Trust and RKMVERI have started the Mobile Covid-Vaccination Unit which has a Mobile vehicle fitted with solar vaccine refrigerator, during the year 2022-23 nearly 10,000/- Covid vaccines were procured and vaccinated.
Vivekananda Clinic (Including Ambulance):
KT and RKMVERI have started Vivekananda Clinic at the University campus to provide health care to students of the University. The land and building was given by the RKMVERI and KT provided the Medical equipment. A new ambulance was provided for emergencies.
Jan Aushadi:
KT is in the process of starting a Jan Aushadi center at the Vivekananda Clinic.
HEALTH SYSTEM STRENGTHENING
Tertiary Health Care
One Health Project:
KT is working with RKMVERI in One Health project of the University. KT has mobilized $ 100,000/- to RKMVERI through Karuna America for this project at Arapanch.
10 bed ICU
We’ve established a 10-bed ICU in Cooch Behar, West Bengal, equipped to provide essential critical care services for the community.
Holistic Multispecialty Hospital in the School of Health Sciences:
KT & RKMVERI have signed MoU for establishing a Holistic Multispecialty Hospital in the school of health sciences for holistic health care.
Imparting health/ Medical education at the Postgraduate level. Creating research facilities in health sciences through the setting up of a centre for research in health sciences called “Swasthya Vijnan Aweshan Niketan (SVAN)”.
