Conduct a cataract surgery for 5 poor citizens of Chamarajanagar under Blindness Control Programme

This scheme is to help rural and troubled people of Chamarajnagar District of Karnataka, to prevent blindness, due to cataract.
Cataract is a prevalent condition in these groups. They often never receive treatment which leads them to blindness. The Vivekananda eye hospital of Karuna Trust provides cataract surgeries to these people at a bare minimum of Rs. 1,000 per person. This cost includes, preliminary screening, surgery and post-operative care. Last year 1,000 patients have benefited under this project and we wish to raise a total of Rs. 15,00,000 for 1,500 patients this year.
