Karuna Trust selected as Health & Nutrition Sector Partner for Vision 2025 (Nava Karnataka 2025)

The Government of Karnataka has taken the initiative to help the state focus and achieve equitable growth with a on citizen centric development approach. The idea to create a document that has a vision to achieve goals identified by the citizens in a total of 13 sectors broadly. The Nava Karnataka CEO, Ms Renuka Chidambaram, visited all 30 districts of the state and conducted state, sectoral and district level workshops where citizens brought forward their ideas. Karuna Trust was selected as the health and nutrition sector partner and also attended the district level workshops to gain a broader understanding of how to move forward the vision document.

Karuna Trust submitted a 100 page detailed report on the current health scenario in the state along with recommendations of how we can achieve the goal of universal health coverage. The Karuna Trust team was led by Dr H Sudarshan with Dr Samantha Lobbo, Dr Mahesh Kadammanavar and Dr Satyanarayan. Dr Kishoremurthy and Dr Rajeev B R also were part of this committee providing support in specific topics of health.
